What to expect during microneedling?
When you arrive at Cosmetic Club MD, our team will record your medical history and aesthetic interests. We will then perform a thorough cleansing of your skin and apply a topical anesthetic ointment that will remain on your skin for approximately 30 minutes.
After the ointment is removed and your skin is cleansed again, we will use the SkinPen® to create thousands of microscopic channels in your skin. You may feel some discomfort during the procedure, which usually takes around 30 minutes.
Following the treatment, you can expect some redness, swelling, and discomfort, but there is little to no downtime involved. The natural healing response that the SkinPen® initiates lasts for several months, leaving you with brighter and more refreshed-looking skin.
What to expect after your microneedling with SkinPen?
Immediately after your treatment, you’ll look like you have a moderate to severe sunburn, and your skin may feel warm and tighter than usual. You may also experience slight swelling, which is normal and should subside within 1-2 hours, and disappear within the same day or 24 hours.
