Dr. Peter Adamson

MD, FRCSC, FACS, OOnt

Dr. Peter A. Adamson is a Professor at The University of Toronto. He practiced facial plastic and reconstructive surgery for over 30 years and is internationally recognized for his surgical techniques, teaching and leadership. He is the past President of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Canadian Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is currently the President of International Board for Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery which establishes standards for examination and certification. He was on staff at the Toronto General Hospital which is associated with the University Health Network from 1981-2020. He is the recipient of the prestigious order of Ontario. He has been involved in selecting, teaching and mentoring hundreds of students and physicians. 

Dr. Eli AKbari

MD, FRCSC

Dr. Elaheh Akbari is a double board-certified physician. She obtained her MD from University of Calgary and completed a five-year surgical residency at the University of British Columbia, where she served as Chief Resident.  She continued her post graduate training by completing a highly sought-after Facial Plastic Surgery Fellowship at the University of Toronto, under the guidance of a world-renowned Facial Dr. Peter A. Adamson.  She was awarded the prestigious Kris Conrad Merit Award in Facial Plastic Surgery, for demonstrating commitment to achieving the highest level of expertise in the performance of Facial Plastic Surgery. She has been mentoring pre-medical students, medical students and residents for the past 10 years.

Dr. Amir AKbari

M.SC, MD, FRCPC, DABP

Dr. Amir Akbari is a double board-certified physician. His educational background spans two continents and numerous prestigious institutions including Johns Hopkins University. He is the recipient of the prestigious CIHR award (The Canadian Institutes of Health Research).  He has been involved in interview preparation and medical education since 2009. He has served on multiple interview panels in Canada, United States and England for medical school and dental school admissions. His work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed international journals such as Nature Medicine.

Eleni Kelakos

Body language expert, Coach, Trainer and Presence Builder – Eleni group

Eleni is a presence and presentation expert, and the Chief Transformational Officer of The Eleni Group, now in its second decade. She uses performance techniques learned over twenty years as a professional actress in New York and Los Angeles to help executives be relaxed, real and relatable when they give presentations and interviews.

When she’s not coaching individuals or facilitating trainings at companies like General Motors, Plante-Moran, and Kubota Tractors, Eleni practices what she preaches, empowering people to perform at their peak with her signature keynote presentations at conferences nationwide.

A graduate in both Theatre Arts and Semiotics from Brown University, Eleni is a past president of the Michigan chapter of the National Speakers Association. Her book, Touch the Sky: Find Your Voice, Speak Your Truth, Make Your Mark, was a gold medal winner of the 2014 Global e-Book Awards.

Dr. Robinder Bahniwal MA, MD, ABFM, CFPC

Dr. Bahniwal completed Family Medicine Residency at Pennsylvania State University and then worked 3 years as an attending at a Federally Qualified Health Center providing care to the underserved populations of Western, New York. She obtained her MD From St. Georges School of Medicine. Currently she practices broad spectrum family medicine. She has education and experience in both the American and Canadian Systems and very much enjoys working with premedical and medical students in her busy family medicine and urgent care clinics throughout Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area.

Dr. Reza Faraji MD, FRCPC – University of British Columbia

Dr Faraji has a BSc degree, with a major in Microbiology and Immunology, from UBC. He subsequently received his medical degree and Anesthesiology training at UBC. After working as a locum anesthesiologist in tertiary and community hospitals in BC, he completed two Anesthesiology fellowships in Australia. He currently works at a community hospital in BC, where he is the Acute Pain Service coordinator and the UBC anesthesiology resident trainee liaison for his hospital.

Dr. Anil Sharma MD, FRCPC – University of Toronto
 
Dr. Sharma attended University of Toronto completing a Neuroscience B.Sc. He obtained his MD from Saba University School of Medicine. He completed 2 years of clerkship in Baltimore, Maryland and New York City.  
He received 12 interview offers in United States National Residency Match (NRMC). He also received 4 CaRMS interviews. He matched to Canada’s top internal medicine program at University of Toronto. As an attending physician he is passionate about mentoring medical students and supporting international medical graduates applying to residency programs in Canada and USA. 
 

Dr. Lior Krimus MD – Anesthesiology Resident – University of Toronto

Dr. Lior Krimus is a 3rd year anesthesia resident at the University of Toronto. He completed his MD at the University of Toronto.  He is very dedicated to teaching and has mentored many students over the years. He is especially interested in end-of-life care. His biggest interview tip is to be as genuine as you can be!

Dr. Tawny Hung MD, FRCPC – University of British Columbia (UBC) and University of California (UCLA)

Dr. Hung completed her (M.D. degree), and anatomical pathology residency (F.R.C.P.C) at the University of British Columbia, Canada. She received her dermatopathology fellowship training at the University of California Los Angeles. Dr. Hung has trained with some of the most renowned leaders in dermatopathology at UCLA, UCSF, Yale University, Massachusetts General Hospital, MD Andersen Cancer Center, and University of Texas Houston. Dr Hung is an American and Canadian board-certified Anatomical Pathologist and Dermatopathologist and has been an attending staff for the past 8 years.

Dr. Saleh Okhovat MBBS, Consultant Surgeon – Imperial College London and University of British Columbia

Consultant Rhinologist & Endoscopic Skull Base Surgeon at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde

Dr. Saleh Okhovat completed his medical degree at  Imperial College London. He completed a skull base fellowship at the University of British Columbia. He has attended numerous competitive interviews on his path to becoming a consultant surgeon. He brings a wealth of interview knowledge and is excited to help applicants preparing for the MMI and the residency interviews.
